Megan G. Knight provides her clients with a unique and highly developed skill set focused on the fields of healthcare, human services, labor and academia. Ms. Knight’s more than two decades of policy experience in Washington D.C., working in both the public and private sectors, helps her clients navigate the intricacies of the federal government and the challenges inherent to the legislative process. She offers her clients a clear focus and keen understanding of the implications of federal legislation and related regulatory policy initiatives.
Prior to working in Washington D.C., Ms. Knight worked in a number of health policy positions at the state level. First as a health analyst for a Legislative Caucus and as a policy fellow for the National Institute of Health Policy, under the direction of former U.S. Senator David Durenberger, Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee’s Subcommittee on Health. Chairman Durenberger and the Institute were recognized national leaders on the challenges facing the American healthcare delivery system policy and establishing a sustainable financing mechanism.
Through her work as a coalition manager, Ms. Knight has successfully coordinated the efforts of a broad coalition of health delivery systems and self-insured companies from across the country adversely impacted by regulations included in the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Clients regularly rely on Ms. Knight’s expertise across a spectrum of key issues – from health care and human services, higher education, labor, and pension issues. Her deep legislative and policy experience provides unique insights for firm clients into the intersection of Capitol Hill, advocacy groups, and the private sector stakeholders.
