Today marks the start of the last weekend of campaigning before the state’s primary election on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 and rarely has Minnesota seen so many intra-party contests in a single year. In addition to three competitive congressional races, dozens of state legislative districts across Minnesota have yet to determine who will be on the ballot come the November general election. The once-every-decade redrawing of Minnesota’s electoral map has pit some incumbents against one another while a conservative grassroots organization called Action4Libery has sought to challenge a number of incumbent Republicans, particularly in greater Minnesota.
